Allowing yourself to feel the emotion of hate will have adverse affects on the heart. A heart filled with hate will be unable to feel love. This will affect all of the relationships in your life, even with yourself.
Any love you do give will be conditional on expectations about what you can get from it. You will often be passive aggressive in your relationships. There will be no room for compassion for others.
Hate can cause you to feel fear and anger. You will feel like a victim, being distrustful of others, assuming that they hate you, since that is your own dominate emotion.
You will be angry, because your needs are not being met, and you are not getting your way. Physically it will cause heart disorders, chest pain or heart attack. It can cause circulation problems. Hate can affect your lungs, causing breathing issues such as asthma, allergies, pneumonia, bronchitis or emphysema now known as COPD.
In fact, sometimes it is easier to just let something go than to carry on being upset. If you can learn to tackle your anger at its root and resolve your negative feelings without lashing out at yourself or others, you will already be one step further on the path to optimal health and happiness. Even though we usually think of stress as having too many things to do in too short of a time or maybe sitting in traffic and worrying about being late for an important meeting, psychological and emotional stressors can have just as much of an impact on our health as physical stressors can.
