Who is hawkgirl and green lanterns son

Thereafter, Shayera decided to stay on Earth to better understand the planet's culture for her people to learn and - at the suggestion from Shadowcat - adopted the name Hawkgirl. For the next several months, Hawkgirl had been traveling across Earth, stealthily helping its people.

She would later discovered Superman and the X-Men's exposure to the public, and rush in time in fighting alongside the Flash , Green Lantern , and Aquaman against the F. She and many other heroes gathered at the Fortress of Solitude in laying an assault on the F. Hawkgirl was among the heroes that destroyed some of the Sentinels.

She along with Superman and Green Lantern followed the remaining Sentinels from reaching Genosha , where they destroyed them. However, the battle worsen when the Brainiac Mark VI arrived and assimilated the fallen Sentinels into a larger composite monstrosity. Soon after, Hawkgirl and the other seven heroes helped the X-Men in defeating Juggernaut. In the aftermath of that crisis, Hawkgirl readily agreed to Superman's suggestion that the eight heroes band together as the Justice League.

Hawkgirl would participate in the various missions with the Justice League. During her time with the League, Hawkgirl developed a deep relationship with fellow member Green Lantern John Stewart. Having sought vengeance for Vixen, the two buried her in her home village of Zambesi. Now that John Stewart was no longer a Green Lantern, he had no obligations to the League and therefore decided to stay in Africa for a while.

Hawkgirl, unsurprisingly, stayed there with him. Deciding that Vixen would have wanted John to be happy, the two former lovers gave in to their emotions and rekindled their relationship. Nine months later, they had a son. Shayera retired from the League herself and the family moved permanently to Africa. Growing up, Rex Stewart learned about both his Earth and Thanagarian cultures. He joined up with the resistance movement there and freed the planet from its oppressors. Despite being accepted by the Thanagarians, he returned to Earth and joined the Justice League like his parents.

This digital-first series answered one of the biggest questions Justice League Unlimited left unanswered. Okay, caught up? So the two broke up and Stewart began a relationship with Vixen, but during one adventure when they traveled to the future, it turns out Green Lantern and Hawkgirl have a son together.

Stewart and Vixen still cuddled passionately aboard the Watch Tower as Hawkgirl awkwardly looked on from behind the cafeteria walls. Lucky you. By the way, notice how the comic formatting looks different than normal? Digital only, baby. This series gets downloaded straight to your computer and away from those prying eyes of the Magic: The Gathering players sitting in the darkest corner of your local comic book store.

Or is it Yu-Gi-Oh that the kids play now? Superheroes are meant to suffer. Happiness remains fleeting in the world of capes and magic. Unfortunately, Green Lantern learns this the hard way. The very hard way. Far bloodier than on TV. First, that weird shadow dude? As Green Lantern and Hawkgirl confront the Shadow Thief, the dark mood of the arc stays in full-blown effect. Did you know that Stewart served as a sniper during his time in the Marines? In comics, no DC title contains more bloodshed and killing than the Green Lantern comics.

But in the cartoon world, the Green Lanterns like to keep their hands murder-free. So when one of their own caps a baddie in the noggin, a moral spanking must be administered. Look, it sucks having no Green Lantern, but Earth does have hundreds of other superheroes patrolling it.

Like a half dozen Kryptonians and a small village of Bat-people. You almost seemed to read my mind by posting this. I even have the show on at this moment restarted Season One. So definitely made me smile to see this. Thank you for this. I just finished the series on Netflix and was left unsatisfied.

This ties that up nicely. Marvel does it, but DC seems to do it far more often. In doing this, they are alienating new, younger readers. The Justice League and JLU cartoons were excellent, high quality, easily accessible shows that stayed true to the spirit of the characters.

Kids and adults alike could enjoy them. Now take those shows and look at what DC has done with their legacy for lack of a better term. Here we have murder and death and blood shed. In the case of the Titans, look at how DC chose to personify Raven in the Pre52 reanimated via black magic in a pool of blood by her canabalistic semi-incestuous half brother or New52 Starfire rage fueled space harlot.

I could rave on like an old man sitting on his porch with a shotgun on his knee, or I could direct you to a comic strip by the brilliant Dave Willis of Shortpacked, and what he had to say about it. You make some fantastic points! I agree that DC made some mistakes over-sexualizing a few of their New 52 titles, for the reason that the comic you linked to beautifully illustrated.

Even if that means wildly sexual or crazy violent. I very much appreciate you reading, and I thank you for your well-written, wonderfully persuasive comment! Hi i have question. As you know there was a series of the justice league justice league unlimited.

When the second season came green lanter was with another girl vixen however green lanter in one episode goes to the future and discovers that he has in the future a son with shyera. However in the season finalle he sais to shyera that he is with the vixen, but he sais also that he steels love shyera.

My question is: IS green lanter going to stay with shyera on vixen? Personally I think a child from John and Mari would be more interesting.

A kid with a innate ability to create green energy animal construction would be cool. Hi there This is a really nice article but however somehow confuses me. Is this Earth one or earth two? And where does Carter hall reincarnate? Though some characters like Superman and Big Barda were part of the original team, others were the children of original members.

This was the case for Nth Metal warrior Warhawk. By that time, though, the two star-crossed lovers had separated due to Hawkgirl's betrayal of the team during the Thanagarian invasion of Earth. Throughout the whole Justice League Unlimited series, even after Stewart found out about Warhawk's existence, he remained with his new love, Vixen.

So how did he and Shayera first get together and have a son? As Warhawk tells the tale of his heroic origins he reveals that, after Justice League Unlimited ended, things continued to get serious between John Stewart and Vixen. The Lantern had decided his longtime love deserved a ring of her own and was about to ask her to marry him. Though he got the answer he wanted, it came as she lay dying in his arms. Vixen was killed in front of the hero's very eyes by the Shadow Thief, who had featured a couple of times in the Justice League Unlimited series as the dark side of Carter Hall, aka Hawkman.
